Job Description

Overview:

Responsible for the day-to-day accounting for a portfolio of commercial properties and development projects. Supports accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and operational coordination with property management and development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage full-cycle property accounting, including GL entries, accruals, and month-end close.

* Prepare monthly financial statements and property-level reporting packages.

* Handle AP/AR functions, tenant billing, rent postings, and vendor payments.

* Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and tenant ledgers.

* Review leases to ensure accurate rent, escalations, and CAM billing.

* Assist with annual CAM and real estate tax reconciliations.

* Track development and construction project costs and maintain job cost reports.

* Support budgeting, forecasting, audits, and lender reporting.

* Partner with property managers to resolve discrepancies and provide financial insight.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

* 2-5+ years of property accounting or real estate experience.

* Familiarity with Yardi, MRI, Timberline/Sage, or similar property management software.

* Strong Excel and financial analysis skills.

* Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable supporting multiple properties.
